What motivates you?
Simple. My little family.
I have a responsibility to myself and to my boys
(hubby & little man), to ensure that my health and well-being is in check.
It’s my responsibility to make sure that I listen to my team of doctors and
diligently take the medication that I’m being prescribed. It’s my
responsibility to stay active, to promote and live a healthy lifestyle.
Life is no longer all about me, or me &
hubby. It’s about us – my little family.
What drives you to be a better version of yourself?
Life is way too short to simply “make do”. We
only have one shot, so why not give it all you’ve got?!
Successfully completing Round 1 of 12WBT has
helped me to realise that I can achieve what I put my mind to. I want to
be the best version of me so that I can be a positive influence to all of those
in my life.
What is making you get up early with no excuses? What is getting you out
there and getting your workout done and eating healthy meals?
My Friday afternoons are spent planning our
family meals for the following week. I sift through the many recipes from 12WBT
Round 1 as well as Mish’s cookbooks, and start compiling my shopping list. I
have a menu planner on my kitchen wall & that’s what I stick to. What you
decide to nourish your body with is so important. Clean eating makes a huge
difference when it comes to Wednesday morning weigh in, so I need to make sure
that I’m extremely disciplined in this area.
Exercise, on the other hand, well that’s an
area lacking motivation. Fingers crossed I will be over my upper respiratory
tract infection soon so that I can start getting back into a routine. I’ve made
some wonderful purchases lately, now I just need to get better so that I can
get stuck into it!
What makes you push that little bit harder?
You can always do better, and it’s this truth that encourages me to try
that little bit harder. Seeing the results of my hard work encourages me to keep
going. Weigh in Wednesday keeps me honest, and this blog now keeps me
accountable!
Love your response :) x
