Blogger Challenge Week 9

WEEK 9: SUPPORT

Jayne writes:
This week I'll be using a blogger challenge questions from a blog that I followed last round! ~Whirlsie~ her blog is http://nutritionally-yours.blogspot.com.au/ she has kindly let me use her questions from last round :) Love the last few challenges she has posted in the last few weeks from last round!! So will be using a few! Thank you x

Support is a fundamental part of any life changing event – including weight loss. As you know by now, weight loss is a mind, body and soul journey, there are so many ways that you need support.
Unfortunately, some people can struggle as their partners/work colleagues/friends may not be supportive, or may sabotage your efforts – you have probably seen quite a few of these kinds of posts on the forums.

In saying this, having that support doesn’t make or break your weight loss success. It’s true, it can be harder with saboteurs around. What I really want to get out of this week’s question is acknowledging those that have supported you and most of all how have you supported yourself?

1. What would you tell yourself at the start of the program in support of yourself?

2. What would you tell those around you that may not have been that supportive?

3. Who would you like to thank for being there for you and helping you on your 12WBT journey so far?

I would like to take this opportunity to say a thank you to you all for doing this Blogger Challenge, by having people complete this challenge, I have received support from you all by knowing that you all are visiting and reading my blog – it keeps me accountable. I would also like to think that you have all been supporting each other when you read the other bloggers posts and commenting on them. We really are one big family.~Whirlsie~

WEEK 9: SUPPORT

1. What would you tell yourself at the start of the program in support of yourself?

  • Focus
  • Plan
  • Organise & diarise
  • Know that it will be hard
  • Know that there will be failures along the way
  • Know that you can & will do this
  • Be committed
  • Be consistent
  • Remain positive through it all
  • Look at the bigger picture
  • Be realistic
  • Look forward to the end result
  • Don’t be embarrassed about doing this program – allow your family & friends to be a part of your journey
  • It’s more than weight-loss – It’s about creating a healthy lifestyle for me and my family

 2. What would you tell those around you that may not have been that supportive?
I’m doing this program for me, not you.

If I say I’m going to do something, I will do it.

Oh, and yeah I’ve learnt that haters gonna hate, so won’t be wasting precious time and energy there no more! Life’s too short peeps! Make changes. Set goals. Try new things. Live life. Enjoy!

3. Who would you like to thank for being there for you and helping you on your 12WBT journey so far?

Hubby
Thank you, thank you, thank you! For supporting me, encouraging me, helping me and just loving me. You have happily eaten all of my 12WBT recipe attempts and have pushed me to keep going. Without your support and encouragement I know I would have struggled to achieve what I already have, so thank you and love you! xx

My Family
Thank you for supporting me along this journey and for encouraging me. Having you "cheering" me on makes this process a whole lot easier! Thank you guys! xx

My Girlfriends
Thank you girls for acknowledging the achievements that I have made whilst undertaking the 12WBT challenge. Thank you for not judging me, for not discouraging me and for not mocking me. Thank you for your support and your uplifting words.

SWSYD
An awesome bunch of local 12WBTers who have helped me to keep on track, stay focussed, remain accountable, have a laugh and challenge myself. Thank you ladies – you have helped  me in so many ways along this journey!

Jayne
A beautiful girl with a beautiful spirit. Thank you Jayne! You have no idea how much you’ve inspired me and kept me motivated. Your blog is fabulous and your words of encouragement on our SWSYD fb page are always full of positivity. So glad to have met you!
